School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS) is one of the colleges of the Polytechnic University of Lisbon (IPL) especially aimed at preparing communication experts. In order to contribute to an informed society, ESCS is dedicated the dissemination of applied scientific knowledge and to lifelong education. This UNESCO Chair proposes the development of media and information literacy (MIL) training programs for a wide variety of audiences. Additionally, ESCS has the mission to provide highly qualified training opportunities at graduate and postgraduate levels in the areas of Audiovisual and Multimedia, Journalism, Advertising and Marketing, and Public Relations and Corporate Communication.
