ESCS/LIACOM UNESCO Chair contributes to the Proceedings of the Portuguese UNESCO Chairs Conference
On 18 September, the UNESCO Chair of Communication, Media and Information Literacy and Citizenship (ESCS-UPL/LIACOM) took part in the presentation of the book Portuguese UNESCO Chairs Conference: UNESCO 80 Years | Education, Science and Culture for Peace and Cooperation – Proceedings, published by INA Editora, as part of the Festa do Livro in Belém, Lisbon.

The book brings together the contributions presented at the Portuguese UNESCO Chairs Conference, held on 15 May 2026 at the Provedoria de Justiça and organised by the Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO (CNU) in partnership with the UNESCO Chair in Education for Development in Public Administration at INA (National Institute of Administration).
The ESCS/LIACOM UNESCO Chair contributes to the publication with a pedagogical reflection on the use of generative artificial intelligence in journalism education, authored by Fernanda Bonacho, chairholder and coordinator of the master’s degree in Journalism, and Vera Moutinho, journalist and Journalism lecturer. Both are faculty members at ESCS and researchers at LIACOM.
